ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team improved to 2-0 and 1-0 in the ODAC on Thursday with a 9-0 win over Sweet Briar (3-2, 0-1 ODAC). Senior Caitlin Delmas (Asheville, N.C./ K-12 International Academy) led the way for R-MC, winning at the number one singles and number one doubles spot.

Delmas and partner senior Toni McDonald (Richmond, Va./ Varina) defeated the number one doubles pair of the Vixens 8-4. At the number two doubles spot, the team of senior Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./ Warhill) and senior Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./ Prince George) also won 8-4.

At the number three spot, the duo of sophomore Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va./ Robinson Secondary) and freshman Landon Aud (Fisherville, Va./ Wilson Memorial) won without losing a game, winning 8-0.

All of the top six singles players continued the momentum from the doubles and went 6-0. Picking up wins for the Yellow Jackets were: number one Delmas, number two sophomore Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va./ York), at the number three Tomlin, number four Jesseman, at five sophomore Tory Stribling (Troy, Va./ Fluvanna County) and at the number six spot freshman Macy Lee Johnson (Henderson, N.C./ Kerr-Vance Academy).

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Saturday with a home ODAC match against Lynchburg at 1 p.m. at the Banks Tennis Center.
