GREENSBORO, N.C. – The R-MC women's tennis team improved to 5-0 for the season and 3-0 in the ODAC with a 9-0 win over Guilford on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles, all three pairs won over the Quakers. At the number one spot, senior Caitlin Delmas (Asheville, N.C./ K-12 International Academy) and senior Toni McDonald (Richmond, Va./ Varina) won convincingly with an 8-1 score.

At the number two doubles, senior partners Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./ Prince George) and Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./ Warhill) picked up an 8-4 win. At number three doubles, the pair of sophomore Stephanie Yeager (Fairfax, Va./ Robinson Secondary) and freshman Landon Aud (Fishersville, Va./ Wilson Memorial) won without losing a game, with an 8-0 score.

In singles all six players won their matches. At number one, Delmas won by a score of 2 sets to 1. At number two, sophomore Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va./ York) won 6-3, 6-1. Tomlin, freshman Kristin Danzler (Williamsburg, Va./ York), Jesseman and McDonald all won their games 6-0, 6-0.

R-MC will be back in action on Sunday with a home ODAC match against Hollins at 1 p.m.
