WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team posted a 9-0 ODAC victory at Shenandoah Friday afternoon to remain undefeated.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in conference matches.
Junior Caitlin Delmas (Asheville, N.C./K-12 International Academy) teamed with sophomore Sid Corrigan (South Bend, Ind./Saint Joseph's) to win 8-2 at No. 1 Doubles. Delmas recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 Singles.
Junior Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) combined with freshman Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va./York) to register an 8-2 win at No. 2 Doubles. Grice won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 Singles, while Tersigni won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 Singles.
Juniors Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) and Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./Warhill) had an 8-0 victory at No. 3 Doubles. Tomlin won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 Singles, while Jesseman recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 Singles.
Junior Toni McDonald (Richmond, Va./Varina) dominated at No. 5 Singles, 6-0 & 6-0.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, March 30, with a 3:30 p.m. road match at Elizabethtown.
