NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) recorded wins in singles and doubles as third-seeded Randolph-Macon dropped a 5-2 decision to second-seeded Roanoke in the semifinals of the 2015 ODAC Women's Tennis Championship.
Grice teamed with senior Angelina Sportelli (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) to win 8-4 at No. 1 Doubles. The Maroons (13-5) took No. 2 and No. 3 Doubles to assume a 2-1 lead.
Grice posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 2 Singles for the Yellow Jackets (14-4). Roanoke won at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 Singles to clinch the match.
Randolph-Macon posted at least 14 victories for the second consecutive season. The Yellow Jackets were 15-6 a year ago.
