LEXINGTON, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team won twice by default in a 6-2 loss at Washington and Lee in ODAC action Sunday afternoon.
The match was originally scheduled to be played in Ashland, but was moved to indoor courts in Lexington due to predicted rain in Central Virginia.
The Yellow Jackets (12-3, 8-2 ODAC) picked up wins at No. 3 Doubles and No. 6 Singles. The first-place Generals (17-4, 9-0) took No. 1 and No. 2 Doubles to lead 2-1 heading to singles. W&L recorded straight-set wins at Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 5 Singles. No. 2 Singles was unfinished.
Randolph-Macon is scheduled to finish its regular season on Wednesday, April 22 with a 1 p.m. home ODAC match against Emory & Henry at the Banks Tennis Center.
