ARLINGTON, Va. – Junior Jenelle Whitman (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) registered four first-half goals and junior Shannon Jamieson (Cypress, Texas/Cypress-Woods) added three goals, including the game-winner, as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team rallied past Marymount.

Whitman scored three of the first seven goals of the match as the Yellow Jackets (1-0) built a 5-2 lead with 11:47 left in the first half. The Saints (0-1) scored to within one before R-MC took a 7-5 lead at intermission.

Marymount scored the first three goals of the second half to take its first lead at 8-7 with 14:23 remaining. Jamieson tied it at 8 with 11:50 left and netted the go-ahead score with 8:50 to go. The Yellow Jackets scored the final goals of the match to record the 12-8 win.

R-MC outshot Marymount 26-19.

Sophomore Allie Walker (Lutherville, Md./Mercy) recorded six saves.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 28 with a 12 noon home contest against Christopher Newport.
