SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team captured all three doubles points and five of six singles points in dominating Sweet Briar 8-1 Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (9-5) had four players earn wins in both singles and doubles. Senior Olayemisi Ogunshina (Baltimore, Md./Wilde Lake) won at No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-0) and No. 2 doubles (8-0). Freshman Toni McDonald (Richmond, Va./Varina) captured No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-1) and No. 1 doubles (8-5). Freshman Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) took No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-1) and teamed with freshman Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./Warhill) to win No. 3 doubles (8-3). Jesseman also won No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-0).
R-MC returns to action on Friday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m. at Randolph.
