The Yellow Jackets got runs back in the third and fifth to cut the lead in half at 4-2. Mitchell Keeler blasted his third home run of the season to left field in the third. Jeb Weymouth then singled home Nick Williamson in the fifth.

R-MC then claimed the lead in the sixth with three runs to make the score 5-4. With the bases loaded, Keeler drew a walk, scoring Meiners. After a pitching change for UMW, Austin Carpenter would single home Michael Kroll to even the score at 4-4. Weymouth would then hit a sac fly to score Williamson and give R-MC the 5-4 lead.

Mary Washington would tie the game up at 5-5 in the top of the eighth, setting up the walk-off win in the ninth for the Yellow Jackets.

R-MC starter James Overbeek made his first start of the year, tossing two innings while yielding two earned runs. Seven other Yellow Jacket pitchers then tossed an inning apiece, only allowing one more run. Jennings picked up the win after tossing a scoreless ninth.
