ASHLAND, Va. – Six Randolph-Macon student-athletes have been selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Representing five different programs, the honorees were recognized for their academic excellence and impact within their respective sports. The VaSID Academic All-State Team honors student-athletes from across the Commonwealth who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom.
The selections include
Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Field Hockey),
Dante Casciola (Football),
Daniel Eliasek (Football),
Lilly Fowler (Women's Lacrosse),
Abigail Pesut (Women's Soccer) and
William Wian (Baseball).
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be sophomores or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. 36 colleges and universities across Virginia nominated six student-athletes to form the 215-member all-state team.
