ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon Junior Second Baseman Zach Wernoski (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) was selected to the 2026 Region VI All-Defensive Team. The 2026 ABCA NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive teams have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association

Wernowski had a stellar season in the field defensively. He totaled 74 putouts, 107 assisted putouts on 185 chances for a fielding percentage of .978. Over the course of the 2026 campaign, Wernoski recorded 13 double plays. In the final month of the season, he recorded one lone error in the field.

In addition to his stellar season in the field, he recorded a .365 batting average with 70 hits on 192 plate appearances. Wernoski also recorded 37 RBIs, 11 doubles and five home runs.

In the Glassboro Super Regional, Wernoski recorded two putouts and four assisted putouts for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
