LYNCHBURG, Va--- Randolph-Macon College Women's Tennis team topped Randolph, 6-3 Thursday evening to pick up its second straight conference win.
The Yellow Jackets (6-10 / 3-6) have now won three of their last four contests. Randolph dropped to 5-7 overall, 2-5 in the ODAC.
Jane Oh earned a hard fought victory in No. 3 singles , 7-5, 7-5 over Jane Campbell to give R-MC its first victory of the match.
Reba Sledd followed suit, topping Kaitlyn Kolster, 7-5, 6-4.
Chelsey Jones picked up her third straight win in No. 5 singles, defeating Danielle Lewis, 6-1, 6-0 to improve to 7-7 on the year.
Caroline Rhodes gave the Yellow Jackets a 4-2 edge in singles play with a win in the No. 6 spot.
Jones partnered with Sledd in No. 2 doubles to win 8-2 and give both players their second victory of the day. Oh and
Jessie McCollum teamed up to cruise to an 8-4 win in No. 3 doubles.
R-MC closes the regular season Saturday, April 14th when it travels to Roanoke to take on Hollins. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
