ASHLAND, Va--- Randolph-Macon College defeated Lynchburg, 5-4 in Women's Tennis action Tuesday evening. The Yellow Jackets improved to 5-10 overall, 2-6 in conference play, while the Hornets dropped to 4-9 on the season, 2-7 in the ODAC.
R-MC topped LC 2-1 in doubles play. Caty Betz-Holcomb partnered with Morgan Parks to earn an 8-3 win in No. 1 singles. Reba Sledd and Chelsey Jones teamed to cruise past the Hornets 8-2.
In singles action, the Yellow Jackets picked up a win in No. 3 singles (6-3,6-2) by Jane Oh. Sledd and Jones both followed with wins in No. 4 and No. 5 singles to help R-MC to the victory.
Randolph-Macon returns to action Thursday, April 12th when it travels to Randolph. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
