ASHLAND, Va--- Randolph-Macon College Women's Tennis team won five-of-six singles matches to cruise to a 7-2 victory over Trinity in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets now sit at 5-8 on the year, while Trinity fell to 1-6.
Caty-Betz Holcomb opened play with a 6-0, 6-3 victory in No. 1 singles to set the tone for R-MC. Morgan Parks and Caroline Rhodes cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 decisions in No. 2 and No. 4 singles action.
Jessie McCollum defeated Jessica Stamp 6-0, 6-1 in number five singles.
In doubles action, Holcomb and Parks partnered to win the No. 1 doubles matchup and Chelsey Jones and McCollum teamed to win No. 2 doubles action, 8-0.
The Yellow Jackets return to play Thursday, April 5th when they travel to conference member Randolph College. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
