ASHLAND, Va--- Randolph-Macon College Women's Tennis topped Ferrum, 5-4 to earn its second consecutive win. The Yellow Jackets improved to 2-5 overall, 1-3 in the ODAC.
The Yellow Jackets struggled in doubles action losing in the No. 1 and No. 3 events. However, R-MC registered the win in No. 2 doubles as Reba Sledd and Chelsey Jones scored an 8-1 decision.
Jessie McCollum won the deciding match in No. 6 singles, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6, and 8-6 to help lead R-MC to victory.
Caty-Betz Holcomb defeated Christina Mannino, 6-3, 6-3 in No. 1 singles and Jones recorded a victory in the No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-0. Caroline Rhodes earned the win in No. 5 singles, 6-1 and 6-3.
The Yellow Jackets return to the court Monday, March 12th when they play host to Southern Virginia. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
