ASHLAND,VA  -- The Lynchburg Women's Lacrosse team stayed perfect in the ODAC with a 19-7 victory over host Randolph-Macon Wednesday afternoon in Ashland.

R-MC is now 6-7 overall and 4-3 in the league.   The Jackets were led by Erin Clare Cassidy who had four goals and one assist on the day.    Elyse Cooper, Holly Sargeant and Kelly Egan all scored as well for R-MC.

LC is 10-3 on the season and 6-0 in the ODAC. Lesley Buckingham led the Hornets with six goals, while Kendall Adkin finished with five goals on the afternoon.    Christina Tran made 10 stops in net for LC in 52 minutes of action.

R-MC jumped out 2-0 early after Cassidy and Egan each scored 2:52 into the contest.  LC then rallied for three goals to go up 3-2.

Randolph-Macon then tied the score 3-3 on a Cassidy goal with 22:50 to play in the first half.  The Hornets then reeled off six straight goals, taking a 9-4 lead on a Buckingham score with 10 minutes to go in the half.

After goals by Cassidy and Sargeant cut the LC advantage to 10-5, the Hornets  got the final two tallies of the half to take a 12-5 lead into the locker room at the break and came out with a 7-0 run to start the second stanza and seal the win.

Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. at ODAC rival Guilford.
