Washington and Lee picked up three doubles wins and won two singles matchups to get past Randolph-Macon Women's Tennis 5-0 in Lexington Friday. The Generals downed the Yellow Jackets' Men's team 9-0.
In the top doubles matchup, W&L's Catherine Reed and Ashley Leinweber defeated R-MC's Martha Vlahakis and Kaite Betz-Holcomb 8-1.
Reed posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Holcomb in singles action and Kerry Cotter won 6-0, 6-1 over Sarah Rainey.
The Generals won in straight sets over the Yellow Jackets in Men's singles action. Will Hall and Mac Davis got past the doubles team of Frank Donnelly and David Lynch 8-3 in the top Men's doubles matchup.
Randolph-Macon Tennis will return to action Saturday, March 5th when they take on Virginia Wesleyan at 9:00am and then Emory & Henry at 5:00. Both matches will be played on the campus of Washington and Lee University.
