Box Score ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon Women's Lacrosse team wrapped a 10-0 as it knocked of Randolph College 21-5 to earn its first ODAC victory of the season.
R-MC (2-4 / 1-0 ODAC) was up 7-3 with 17:29 to go in the first-half when Alicia McGrew sparked what proved to be 10 unanswered goals for the Jackets, spanning the remainder of the first stanza and into the opening minutes of the second-half.
During the run, Elyse Cooper scored three times, all assisted by Kelly Egan. Erin Clare Cassidy set up both of Audrey Hester's goals in the run, while Cassidy had three scores of her own and Egan assisted on five of the goals and had single tally herself.
After Randolph's Ashley Edwards scored to snap the run and make the score 18-4, R-MC would get goals from Cassidy, Hester and Cooper to go up 21-4 with just under eight minutes to go in the game.
Cooper finished the day with six goals, while Egan had a game-high nine points on one goal and eight helpers and Cassidy finished with five goals and three assists for eight points on the day. Hester notched three goals and four assists for seven points, all of which are career-highs.
Randolph (1-6 / 0-3 ODAC) got three goals from Edwards in the loss.
R-MC outshot the WildCats 28-11 and held a 24-3 advantage in draw controls as Cassidy grabbed give and Cooper snared four on the day.
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to Sweet Briar for 1:00 ODAC game.
