ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College Women's Tennis team closed out its fall schedule with an 8-1 victory over Trinity College of D.C. on Sunday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (1-0) lost just six games the entire afternoon en route to its first victory of the 2011-12 season.
Caty Betz Holcomb won at No. 2 singles for R-MC 6-1, 6-0 against the Tigers' Abimbda Akinramisi. Holcomb also teamed up with Olayemisi Ogunshina to take the No. 1 doubles match over Akinramisi and Samantha Hurley 8-2.
Morgan Parks also won at No. 3 singles and No.2 doubles with teammate Reba Sledd. Sledd earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory in No. 4 singles over Sheri King.
