ASHLAND, VA -- Nine different Yellow Jackets scored as
Randolph-Macon topped Sweet Briar 20-2 in ODAC Women's Lacrosse
Action Saturday afternoon in Ashland. R-MC is now 7-3 overall and
5-2 in ODAC play.
Senior Logan Pomeroy scored five goals to led R-MC in the
scoring column, while fellow classmate Emily Kent added a hat trick
in the Jackets win.
Kelly Egan and Elyse Cooper each had a pair of scores in the
victory as well. Alex Flammia, turned away three shots in net for
R-MC as well.
Pomeroy and Cooper each scored a pair of goals in the first 5:37
of the contest to send R-MC to an early 4-0 advantage. R-MC would
eventually add on six more tallies, taking a 10-0 advantage when
Pomeroy scored with 13:48 to play in the first half.
DJ Abernathy got SBC (3-12 /1-7 ODAC) on the board with just
under six minutes to play.The
Yellow Jackets' Rachel Johnsen scored with 2:32 left on the
clock to send the teams to the intermission with R-MC up 11-1.
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Sunday when it
hosts ODAC leader Washington & Lee at 2:00 p.m.
