Box Score Mike Urbanik and James Mallon both netted goals early in the
first half to propel Randolph-Macon Men's Soccer (6-5-1 /
3-2-1 ODAC) to a 2-1 victory over Emory and Henry in Ashland on
Saturday.
R-MC's Rodrigo Walsh long pass connected with Mike Urbanik
who beat his defender and scored to give the Yellow Jackets a 1-0
advantage in the 13th minute.
Five minutes later, James Mallon booted a shot from outside the
box that sailed over the Wasps' keeper and into the back of
the net to put the Yellow Jackets on top 2-0.
Joshua Trejo cut the R-MC lead to 2-1 in the 67th
when he found the back of the net unassisted.
Randolph-Macon's defense led by keeper Matty Rocawich kept
Emory and Henry out of the net in the finals minutes to come away
with the 2-1 ODAC win. Rocawich finished with four saves.
The Yellow Jackets outshot the Wasps 16-10 while E&H edged
R-MC 7-3 in corner kicks.
Randolph-Macon Men's Soccer will be back in action
Wednesday, October 13th when they travel to Randolph
College for a 7:00 ODAC match.
