ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team has landed in the top eight teams in the region, according to the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
There are a total of 10 regions in Division III and Randolph-Macon competes in Region VI. The other teams mentioned include Emory, Christopher Newport, Hampden-Sydney, Virginia Wesleyan, Covenant, Sewanee(Tn.) and Lynchburg. Of those teams, both Emory and Christopher Newport are ranked nationally, Hampden-Sydney is just outside the Top 25 receiving votes. The Eagles at the No. 3 position and the Captains stationed at No. 20.
RMC is off to its second consecutive 4-1 start to the season after defeating Washington & Jefferson 2-0.Â
The Yellow Jackets head to Danville, Va. to take on the Averett Cougars on Wednesday September 17, with kickoff set for 7:00 pm.
