How it happened
- The Yellow Jackets wasted no time getting on the board. In the eighth minute, a throw-in from Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) connected with Barrett Wilson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington), who slotted home the opening goal to give RMC a 1-0 lead.
- The Lemon and Black maintained strong team play across the field and doubled their advantage in the 35th minute. Jayden Walker (Suffolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) found Elijah Caro (Asheville, N.C./Black Mountain) just outside the box, and Caro chipped the ball past the Pacers' keeper to make it 2-0. Randolph-Macon struck again before halftime when a corner kick from Wiley Eubank (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) connected with Gavin Drohan (Holly Springs, N.C./Holly Springs), sending the Jackets into the break with a 3-0 lead.
- William Peace opened the second half with offensive pressure, but Ethan Chenoweth (Newport News, Va./Warwick) and the RMC backline stood firm to preserve the advantage. Eubank anchored the defense, shutting down a dangerous Pacers forward to keep the clean sheet intact.
- The Jackets capped the night in the 86th minute. A crisp passing sequence from Bruce Thornton (Chesapeake, Va./Oscar Smith) and Nash Holland (Warrenton, Va./Liberty) set up Benjamin Morris (Highcliffe, England/Highcliffe School), who buried the fourth and final goal to seal the 4-0 victory.
