ASHLAND, Va. - Women's Lax used an offensive outburst led by
Caty Benton (Richmond, Va. Mills E. Godwin) and
Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) to earn a victory on Senior Night that saw the Yellow Jackets record their second shutout of the season.

How it Happened
- 30 seconds into the game, the Yellow Jackets got on the scoreboard when Kiley Kurcoba (White Marsh, Md./Perry Hall) took a feed from Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forrest School). At the 13:47 mark, RMC rattled off three goals over the next minute from Fowler, Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and Emma Alex (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) to quickly jump out to a 4-0 lead. The Lemon and Black continued to pour on the goals, netting four more goals over the next minute from Benton, Sydney Eldredge (Chesterfield, Va./Monacan), Alex and Fowler to extend their lead to eight. Benton proceeded to record the next two goals for RMC at 8:43 and 7:15, assisted by Fowler. Four minutes later, Hailey Pierce (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) cashed in on the power-play for the 11th goal of the afternoon. Brooklynn Ricker (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) closed out the first quarter on a pass from Grayson Cornelius (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg), carrying a 12-0 lead into the second quarter.
- At 12:31 in the second quarter, Moxham sent a feed to Fowler in front of the net to push the score to 13-0. Over the next four minutes, Ricker found the back of the net once more and Kurcoba added her second goal of the afternoon to push the lead to 15. At the 5:41 mark, Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) took a feed from Lina Donoway (Chester, Md./Kent Island) to add the 16th goal of the evening for the Yellow Jackets. One minute and a half later, Alex completed the hat trick on an unassisted goal. At the 1:41 mark, McNeally found the back of the net for the second time in the game for the final goal of the first half, giving the Lemon and Black a 18-0 lead heading into the break.
- Two minutes into the third quarter, Conway added her second goal to the stat sheet. Four minutes later on the power play, Cornelius sliced through two defenders to net the 20th goal for RMC. The Yellow Jackets used long offensive possessions to wind down the clock until the 2:27 mark, when Elaina Creekmore (Pasadena, Md./Old Mill) threaded a pass to Coleen Desmond (Fredericksburg, Va./The Madeira School), burying the ball for the 21st goal of the game.
- At the start of the final frame, Alex found Cornelius on a pass from behind the cage to set up a goal one minute into the quarter. The Yellow Jackets added two more goals at the 11:31 and 9:13 marks from Desmond and Donoway to push the score to 24-0 and grab the win on Senior Night.

- Fowler and Benton both led the Yellow Jackets' offense with six points overall on three goals and three assists.
- Cornelius set a new career-high with five points on two goals and three assists.
- Alex finished the game with four points on three goals and one assist, earning her first career hat-trick.
- Moxham and McNeally both recorded three points overall. Moxham tallied three assists and McNeally recorded two goals and one assist.
- Ricker, Desmond, Conway and Kurcoba each found the back of the net twice during the game.

- In transition, the Yellow Jackets' ride was lethal, holding the WildCats to 2-16 for a clear percentage of .125. The Yellow Jackets went a perfect 5-5 on the clear.
- In the ground ball department, the Lemon and Black held the advantage, scooping up 19 ground balls to Randolph's 10.

- Fowler continues to amass accolades as she now ranks #10 in points in a single season with 88, ninth all-time for assists in a season and is 10 points away from fourth all-time in points.
- Moxham has broken into the top 5 all-time for draw controls with 190 and is four away from Hannah Jones (2016-19) for fourth place.
- Pierce tied her single-season draw control record of 80 that she set last year. She sits seven away from finding her way into the top four.
