How It Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets started the scoring in the bottom of the second. Lanouette reached on a one-out error, went to third on a single by Zach Stolze (Towson, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and scored when James Baffone (Wilmington, Del./St. Marks) reached on a two-out error to give the home team a 1-0 lead.
- RMC put up a crooked number in the fourth. Logan Duff (Forest, Va./Liberty Christian) drew a leadoff walk and came home on a triple by Lanouette. Stolze had a one-out base hit to plate Lanouette, making it 3-0. Baffone doubled to knock in Stolze, stole third and scored on a base hit by Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) to make it 5-0.
- After the Sea Gulls put up three in the top of the fifth, the Yellow Jackets responded in the bottom of the frame. Duff delivered a one-out single and went to second when Lanouette was plunked. Duff would come home on an error and Lanouette scored on a wild pitch, giving RMC a 7-3 advantage.
- SU tallied one in the top of the seventh and RMC answered in the bottom of the seventh. Duff singled and was erased on a fielder's choice by Lanouette, who eventually scored on a wild pitch to make it 8-4.
- The Sea Gulls plated one in the ninth to make the final 8-5.
