CHARLESTON, S.C. – Randolph-Macon Women's Tennis traveled to South Carolina to take on a Division I program in the College of Charleston, but were defeated in the mid-week battle, 7-0.

Doubles
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) paced the Yellow Jackets in the doubles point, winning a few long rallies and snagging three games at second doubles.
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) grabbed a game at first doubles while
Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) and
Salomea Tchantouridze (Barre, Vt./U-32) captured another game at third doubles. The Lemon and Black have won at least one game in each of the three doubles courts in four of their past five matches.

Singles
Mowry used some quality serving and held several long rallies to notch a team-high two games in her match at second singles. Thurman snagged a game in the first singles slot, while
Brielle Baughman (East Berlin, Pa/Delone Catholic) grabbed one first-set game at fourth singles for the Yellow Jackets. In the first set, Thurman has won at least one game in all of her nine matches played.
