JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Randolph-Macon men's golf is back in action at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate, taking part in the first round and sitting in 27th place overall.
Charlie Wilkerson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) dominated in the first round for the Yellow Jackets, shooting a -2 (70). The sophomore ended the day with five birdies and shot par on ten holes. Wilkerson is currently in 25th place as in individual out of 150 golfers.
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) and
Ty White (Emporia, Va./Greensville County) both ended the first round with +4 (76) scores. The duo combined with four birdies and pars on 20 holes. White ended his front nine at even par for the Lemon and Black.
Carter Chapin (Seaford, Va./York) finished his first round with a score of +7 (79) with two birdies and shot pars on on eight different holes.
Joseph Winston (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman) ended the day firing a score of +8 (80) for Randolph-Macon. The freshman had two birdies and nine pars in the round.
