FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its preseason poll for the 2026 spring season and Randolph-Macon women's tennis has been picked tied-eighth. RMC finished the fall season with a positive 2-1 record as they gear up for another 11 matches.
Washington and Lee opens the season as the favorites, picking up 11 first-place votes and 121 points. Averett was placed in the second spot with 111 overall points, as well as a first-place vote and Virginia Wesleyan received 98 points to complete the podium. Randolph (79) and Shenandoah (72) are the final two teams to round out the top five spots.
Lynchburg (64) and Guilford (62) were picked sixth and seventh respectively, with Randolph-Macon and Sweet Briar knotted at 53 points apiece in eighth. The final three spots were awarded to Roanoke (44) Bridgewater (23) and Hollins (12).
The Yellow Jackets opens the spring season with a match against Hollins on Sunday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. in Roanoke, Virginia.
