ASHLAND, Va. – Following a record-setting historical season in 2024-25, the Randolph-Macon women's basketball team looks to continue that success with its schedule in 2025-26. Reigning back-to-back ODAC Coach of the Year,
Lindsey Burke-Eberhart, enters her sixth season leading the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets will start their season on the road against Dickinson on Saturday, November 8. Randolph-Macon will host its home opener two days later against Notre Dame of Maryland on Monday, November 10. The team will head to Atlanta, Georgia to take part in a tournament at Emory University on November 15-16. The Lemon and Black will take on hosts Emory and move to square off with Bethany. Randolph-Macon will stay in tournament mode the following weekend, this time playing inside of Crenshaw Gymnasium on November 21-22. The opponents will be I-95 rival Mary Washington and Elite Eight participant Gettysburg. The Bullets defeated the Yellow Jackets in the Sweet 16 last season.
Randolph-Macon will begin the month of December with the start of conference play at home against Eastern Mennonite on Dec. 2. The team will conclude the week with a trip to Hollins University on Dec. 6. The Lemon and Black will jump back into non-conference play by taking part in a tournament at Catholic University on Dec. 15-16. The team will play Principia and host institution Catholic. These matchups will conclude the month of December and move the Yellow Jackets into the new year.
The Lemon and Black will kick off 2026 on the road against Arcadia on Friday, January 2. RMC will complete the final 14 games of the regular season with conference games. Conference foe Washington and Lee will appear in Crenshaw Gymnasium on Saturday, January 17 for the 50th anniversary game for women's basketball. The final three home games for Randolph-Macon will be on February 11-18. The SWARM Game will be against Shenandoah on February 11 and Senior Day will take place on February 14 against Guilford. The Yellow Jackets will complete the regular season at Roanoke on Saturday, February 21.
The Yellow Jackets finished last season with a 29-2, earning an automatic bid for winning the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament championship. Randolph-Macon won its first conference championship since the 2019-20 season. Entering postseason play the Lemon and Black were ranked 14th in the D3hoops.com poll. Randolph-Macon took on Piedmont to open NCAA tournament play and would advance to the second round to take on #20 Elizabethtown. The Yellow Jackets took down the Blue Jays to advance to their first Sweet 16 since the 2006-07 season. The historic season came to an end at #10 Gettysburg, ending the season with a 29-2 record for Randolph-Macon. Randolph-Macon was also ranked #16 on the final WBCA Coaches Poll. The Lemon and Black's record last season marked the 12th straight season in which RMC has posted a winning record.
