ASHLAND, Va. – For the first time since the 2018-19 season, Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball has been ranked in the D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25 Poll. After a 29-2 campaign in 2024-25, the Yellow Jackets slot in at No. 21 in the poll, which is the highest that the team has been ranked in the poll since the 2005-06 season, in which they were tabbed as number two.
Last season, RMC finished the year 29-2 overall and 16-0 in ODAC play, capturing the ODAC regular season crown. The Yellow Jackets defeated Piedmont in the first round, 52-31, before going on to beat Elizabethtown in the following round, with a score of 62-56. RMC then fell 56-49 in the Sweet 16, dropping a tough game against Gettysburg.
The Lemon and Black will square off against four teams in the preseason top 25. They will first take on No. 24 Gettysburg College at home on November 22. Randolph-Macon will then travel to Washington D.C. to face No. 19 Catholic University on December 16. The Yellow Jackets then host No. 6 Washington and Lee on January 17. Their last game against a ranked opponent will come at home against (RV) Bridgewater College, on February 4.
The 2025-26 campaign will open on Nov. 8, as Randolph-Macon will play Dickinson at 4:00 p.m. in Carlisle, Pa.
