ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon field hockey team had two members named on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Collegiate Watchlist for the upcoming season.
Junior goalkeeper
Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) was selected for the second straight year and senior midfielder
Lynn Giesken (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) was selected for the first time.
Ambrogi-Torres is coming off a sophomore season that saw her garner Second-Team All-ODAC honors. She finished second in the ODAC in save percentage (.829), total saves (126), and saves per game (7.88). Her .829 save percentage landed her 13
th in the nation, finishing the season with double-digit saves in four of the final six contests.
Giesken is entering her fourth season with the Yellow Jackets, playing in all 17 contests in each of her past two seasons after only missing two games in her freshman campaign. She recorded a career-high two assists in 2024, with both assists coming in the same victory against Southern Viriginia. The senior earned Third-Team All-ODAC honors in 2023, after registering career-highs in games started (12) and minutes played (741).
