How it Happened

- The two sides split the opening four points of the first set, but a 4-1 run ensued for the Knights to hold a 6-3 lead. RMC cut it to one at 7-6 and held strong at 11-10 before SVU broke it open with an 11-3 run to take a 22-13 lead. After RMC broke the run, the Knights closed the set winning three of the final four points to win 25-15.
- The Knights came out strong to begin the second frame, holding a 7-5 edge before pushing the lead out to 12-5 with a 5-0 stretch. RMC ignited a 3-0 run that helped them chip away at the deficit. The Jackets cut it back to two at 17-15 before another 3-0 run for SVU pushed the lead back to five. RMC would later earn three straight points to start a comeback attempt, but the Knights won the final two points to take set two, 25-20.
- RMC flipped the script in the third set, jumping out to a 3-1 lead and then a 6-4 advantage. The Jackets held a 10-9 lead before SVU grabbed momentum with a stretch of six straight points to take a 15-10 lead. A later stretch of five straight pushed the lead even further out to 21-12, helping them finish the set, winning 25-16 and earning the sweep.

- Wesley Graves (Chester, Va./Thomas Dale) led the way with nine kills and hit .375. He also had four digs and an ace.
- Seneca Gibson (Chicago, Ill./Preparatory Academy) finished with seven kills, hitting .333.
- Owen Hahn (Henrico, Va./Tucker) led the team with two blocks. He also had three kills.
- Thomas Eubank (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) finished with 21 assists and three digs.
