9/30/2026 11:26:00 AM

ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon Men's Volleyball has released its 2027 schedule, as the Yellow Jackets look to follow an incredible season that saw the program reach 30 wins for the first time in program history.

Head Coach Christian Taylor is entering his sixth year at the helm, as he boasts a 105-52 career record overall heading into 2027.

His team opens the season with the Macon Invitational, where the Yellow Jackets will host Marymount, Stevenson, Southern Virginia and Alvernia on Jan. 15-16. Just a season ago, SVU appeared in the Quarterfinal Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

RMC closes out its six-game season-opening homestand with contests against Roanoke and Regent, taking place on Jan. 19 and 21.

The Yellow Jackets wrap up January with a road ODAC contest against Bridgewater on Jan. 26, followed by a tri-match at Juniata. The Lemon and Black will play their first match against Saint Vincent on Jan. 30, with the second contest coming against another 2026 NCAA Tournament team in the Eagles on the same day.

Randolph-Macon then begins February with two home games, before embarking on a 10-game road trip. Eastern Mennonite and Notre Dame of Maryland will both be coming to Ashland on Saturday, Feb 6.

The string of road contests will start with a doubleheader against Averett on Feb. 9, followed by another ODAC matchup against Shenandoah on Feb. 13. RMC goes out of conference to take on Hood in the tri-match that includes Shenandoah, before returning to conference play against Batten on Feb. 16.

RMC then relocates to Grantham, Pa., where it will look for revenge against Messiah. The Yellow Jackets had a narrow loss to the Falcons in the Second Round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Randolph-Macon's second match on Feb. 20 will take place against Thiel.

The final three road contests of the stretch are against Roanoke (Feb. 27), Misericordia (Feb. 27) and Randolph (March 3).

After exactly one month, the Yellow Jackets return home to host a tri-match, which will feature Bridgewater and Regis on March 6. The team continues play in Crenshaw on March 10 against Batten for its SWARM Match, with the final two home games in the five-game stretch scheduled against Shenandoah and Wittenberg on March 13. The faceoff against the Tigers will mark Randolph-Macon's fourth draw against a 2026 NCAA Tournament team.

RMC has four of its last five matches in March on the road, with the first two against Marymount (March 17) and Stevenson (March 20). Once a contest against Randolph brings the team back home on March 24, they close the month at Eastern Mennonite (March 27) and Southern Virginia (March 31).

The regular season ends at home against Averett on April 3, where the Yellow Jackets will celebrate their Senior Day.

Taylor will look to expand upon his 28-0 record in ODAC play, as he closed the 2026 regular season on a five-match sweep streak against conference teams.
