LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis got tough play in first and second singles to highlight the teams conference quarterfinal matchup with top-seeded Washington and Lee.

Records: Randolph-Macon (9-6, 4-6 ODAC); Washington and Lee (14-5, 10-0 ODAC)

Doubles:

The Generals took control of the match, defeating Randolph-Macon in all three doubles matches. Washington and Lee would win all the doubles matches to take an overall match team lead of 1-0.

(WLU) Isabella Custard and Annie Jennings def. (RMC) Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory), 6-0
(WLU) Greer Webb and Meagan Donovan def. (RMC) Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and Brielle Baughman (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic), 6-0

Singles:

In singles, the Yellow Jackets got an impressive performances out of #1 and #2 singles with Thurman and Mowry. Thurman played a tough first set and Mowry fought in the second set of her singles matchup.

Washington and Lee would defeat the Lemon and Black by clinching the match after its wins in fourth through six singles, winning 4-0.
