After H-SC cut it back to one, Sinsebox unleashed from the right side to make the lead 6-4 with five minutes to go until half. With just over a minute left in the frame, Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) added to the Yellow Jackets' lead, pushing it to 7-4, which it remained for the rest of the half.

The score remained deadlocked at eight heading into the final 15 minutes of regulation.
- The defense from both teams kept the game tied for the first five minutes of the quarter before Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) buried a goal to break the tie with 9:48 left. JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) doubled the lead two minutes later, making the score 10-8 and putting RMC in the driver's seat. With just under four minutes to go.
