LEXINGTON, Va. – Fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse fell in a hard-fought battle with top-seeded and nationally-ranked Washington and Lee, 10-8, in the ODAC Semifinals on Thursday.

How it Happened
- Both teams came up empty on their first few possessions before the Generals got on the board with 7:49 remaining in the first frame. Three minutes later, Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) lit up the scoreboard for the Yellow Jackets to even the score at one. After winning the ensuing faceoff, RMC added another on quick passing from Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) to Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) to give RMC a 2-1 lead with 4:33 left in the first.
- Beau Wojciechowski buried a goal to extend the run for the Yellow Jackets with 8:51 remaining in the second. That was followed by a fourth straight goal, this time by Cooper Hauser (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) to push the RMC lead to 4-1 with 7:56 until half. After the Generals posted two goals to bring the deficit back to one, Sinsebox netted a goal with three seconds left to give RMC a 5-3 halftime lead.
- Three straight goals in the first four minutes made the lead switch hands to the Generals at 6-5. Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) and Charlie Violette (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Academy) each scored within one minute to flip the lead back in favor of the Yellow Jackets. The next two went to W&L before the end of the quarter as they took an 8-7 advantage into the fourth.
- The Generals extended their run to four straight goals with two tallies to open the fourth quarter. Hauser netted his second goal of the game with 55 seconds left, but RMC couldn't complete the comeback attempt as the Generals came away with a 10-8 win.

- Sinsebox and Hauser each tallied two goals. Sinsebox added two ground balls and a caused turnover. Hauser picked up three ground balls.
- Brodie Kent (Coquitlam, Canada/Centennial) had a team-high four ground balls and added an assist.
- Carter finished with two points, a goal and an assist, as well as two ground balls.
- Riley Rayne (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) finished with a team-high two caused turnovers.
- Jack Twomey (Reston, Va./Gonzaga) made 13 saves in goal.
