ASHLAND, Va. - RMC men's lacrosse soared past Guilford in the first round of ODAC tournament play, 23-4. 13 different Yellow Jackets scored in the game, including
Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) putting away a team-high four goals.

How it Happened
- Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) got the scoring started just 0:23 into the contest. A quick goal from Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) put the Jackets up 2-0. The Yellow Jackets extended their lead with goals from Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) and Cooper Hauser (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) with just over 12 minutes to go in the frame. A great pass from Tankersley set up Chap Hale (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) for a goal and with 9:36 left, Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) scooped up a ground ball and netted a nasty behind the back goal to make it 6-0. Carter netted his second goal of the game at the 4:15 mark. With 0:21 left in the first frame, Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) scored his first goal of the game to give the Jackets an 8-0 lead after one.
- After an early Yellow Jacket timeout, the Lemon and Black rattled off three goals in 0:22, one coming from Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) and the other two from Sinsebox to complete the hat trick. Hale netted his second goal of the day with 11:31 left in the frame. The Jackets took a 13-0 lead by way of a Beaux Wojciechowski (Colorado Springs, Colo./Vista Ridge) goal at the 8:18 mark. Guilford got on the board with a goal at the 6:33 mark and tallied another with 1:36 left before half. Sobel netted his second goal of the game with under 1:00 to play in the second quarter to send the Jackets into the locker room with a 14-2 advantage.
- Just over three minutes in, Sobel's pass led to Tankersley's second goal of the game and the first score of the second half. The Quakers grew their tally to 3 with a score at the 7:11 mark. Sinsebox responded by netting his fourth goal of the game. Carter scored his hat trick goal with the help of a Sobel pass. With 0:07 left in the third stanza, Ben Tomasic (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) extended the Yellow Jackets' lead to 15 goals heading into the final quarter.
- Rock Schraa (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) scored the first goal of the fourth quarter, the second goal of his sophomore campaign. Freshman Fitz Stanley (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) scored the Yellow Jackets' 20th goal of the game at the 10:50 mark. With 9:29 left, Walker Wilkinson (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) set up Jacob MacMillan (Fallston, Md./Fallston) for a goal to put the Yellow Jackets ahead 21-3. MacMillian paid in forward with a pass to set Stanley up for his second score of the day. The Quakers added another goal in a man-up situation but Tomasic netted his second goal of the game in the last 20 seconds as the Yellow Jackets secured a 23-4 victory.

- Tankersley led the way with six total points. The Baltimore native tallied two goals and four assists as well as a caused turnover.
- Sinsebox paced the Yellow Jackets offense with four goals. The junior midfielder also scooped two ground balls.
- Carter recorded a hat trick and a ground ball.
- Faceoff specialists Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall), Carson Mingo (Cambridge, Md./Gilman), and Ethan McCrea (Oak Hill, Va./South Lakes) dominated, winning 23 of 30 faceoffs. Robertson led the team with eight ground balls.
- The Yellow Jackets outshot Guilford 52-18 in the entire game.
