DANVILLE, Va. - Randolph-Macon's women's lacrosse cruised past Averett, behind seven Yellow Jackets recording multi-goal games in its mid-week conference matchup.

How it Happened
- In less than one minute, Hailey Pierce (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) started the scoring for Randolph-Macon with a goal. Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) added to the lead with the 28th goal of her senior campaign. Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) capitalized on a free position shot to make it 3-0. Twenty seconds later, Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) beat Averett's defense and netted another goal for the Lemon and Black. Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) scored at the 10:45 mark to give the Yellow Jackets a five-point advantage with more than 10:00 to play in the first frame. The Yellow Jackets continued to dominate the first quarter as Cami McNeally would find the back of the net for the second time. The Cougars got on the scoreboard for the first time with nine minutes on the clock. Jordyn Schwartz (Reisterstown, Md./St. Paul's) netted her sixth goal of the season with 4:35 to play in the first period to give the Jackets a 7-1 lead. Averett would respond with a free-position goal with less than three minutes to play in the first frame. The Jackets extended their lead by taking advantage of a free-position shot as Schwartz netted her second goal of the evening. In the final two minutes of the first quarter, Cami McNeally's pass set up Amanda Maxwell's (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) sixth goal of her senior season. Despite being in a man-down situation, Cami McNeally completed the 15-minute hat trick to propel the Yellow Jackets to a 10-2 lead after one.
- Elaina Creekmore (Pasadena, Md. Old Mill) started the second quarter's scoring with a free-position goal at the 11:42 mark. Conway followed with her second score of the evening less than one minute later to put the Yellow Jackets ahead by 10. Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) netted her first goal of the game. Maxwell and Lowery both added goals to extend the lead for RMC. Lowery scored again to complete a hat trick with the help of a Pierce assist. Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) set up Reese Toth (Edgewater, Md./South River) for her first goal of the game to extend the Jackets' lead to 15. With less than one minute left before halftime, Evie McNeally netted her second goal of the evening. The Jackets headed to the locker room with an 18-2 lead.
- The Cougars got on the board first in the second half to put the score at 18-3. Lowery scored her fourth goal of the game at the 6:46 mark. Caty Benton (Richmond, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and Cami McNeally both added goals in the back half of the third quarter to increase the Yellow Jacket lead to 21-3. With :58 left in the third stanza, Conway netted her first career hat trick to give the Lemon and Black a 19-point lead heading into the final period.
- The Yellow Jackets went ahead by 20 less than two minutes into the fourth quarter with Toth's second goal of the game. Averett netted their fourth goal of the game with 7:58 to play. Kiley Kurcoba (White Marsh, Md/Perry Hall) and Maxwell both added a goal in the last three minutes to put the Yellow Jackets ahead by 21 as they left Danville with a 25-4 conference victory.
Inside the Numbers
- Randolph-Macon outshot Averett 36-8 in the entire game. The Yellow Jackets also went 12-for-13 in clear attempts.
- The Lemon and Black won the draw control battle with 22 to the Cougars 8. Randolph-Macon also won in overall ground balls 9-to-3.
- Cami McNeally paced the Yellow Jackets with six total points, tallying four goals on four shots and added two assists.
- Lowery contributed five points with four goals and an assist. The senior attacker also collected two ground balls and caused two turnovers.
- Conway netted three goals and recorded an assist to total four points. Maxwell scored three times and controlled two draws.
- Schwartz assisted three goals to go with her own two goals for the Yellow Jackets.
- Evie McNeally and Toth also recorded multi-goal games with two goals each.
- Pierce recorded seven draw controls for the Lemon and Black to go alongside a goal, an assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Lydia Lesnevich (Catonsville, Md./Towson) and Maddy Arca (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock) both led the team with 3 ground balls. Lesnevich also caused a turnover.
For the Record
- Fowler moved into seventh in program history in season assists with 41, passing Algela Bisland that had 40 in 2001. She is currently one assist behind the 42 assists that Alex Lightfoot had in 2018.
