Gracie Ellis (New Kent, Va./New Kent) recording her fourth win in as many starts in game one against Denison.

How it Happened (Denison)
- Ellis started the first inning with a walk and Blayne Talley (Richmond, Va./Cosby) reached base on a throwing error. Charlotte Boswell (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) also reached base on an error, which plated Ellis and Blayne Talley to give Randolph-Macon an early 2-0 lead. Denison got on base at the bottom of the first, but three straight Ellis strikeouts left the Big Red scoreless.
- In the top of the fourth, Reagan Hill (Hanover, Va./Hanover) got on base with a single to right field. Alyssa Meharg (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on a wild pitch by Denison. Amanda Lanyon's (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) single scored Meharg to add to the Jackets lead.
- Denison scored in the bottom of the fourth, but Randolph-Macon added two more runs in the top of the fifth with a Kayla Davis (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) sacrifice fly that scored Blayne Talley and a Hill single to right field that plated Boswell. Ellis sat down three straight Denison batters in the bottom of the fifth to maintain a 5-1 lead.
- Denison drew closer in the bottom of the sixth with three runs, but Ellis and the Lemon and Black defense were able to hold off the comeback attempt and win 5-4.
Inside the Numbers vs. Denison
- Hill led the Yellow Jackets with three hits in the game. The junior added an RBI as well to help Randolph-Macon on offense.
- Lanyon, Boswell, and Powell each had two hits. Lanyon and Boswell both recorded a double, and Powell tallied an RBI for the Jackets.
- Ellis earned her fourth win of the season, striking out 13 batters in seven innings.
How it Happened (N.C. Wesleyan)
- There is no box-score available for the second game of the Triangle Classic, the Yellow Jackets would fall by a score of 4-2.
