ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Head Softball Coach
Sarah Leavenworth has announced the addition of Savannah Nash to the Yellow Jackets' coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Nash comes to Ashland following a decorated collegiate playing career that included stops at Saint Francis (Pa.) and Liberty.
A standout during her three seasons at Saint Francis, Nash was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Year in 2025 after putting together a career-best junior campaign. She led the Red Flash in batting average (.416), slugging percentage (.734), runs (41), hits (72), RBI (38), home runs (13), total bases (127) and stolen bases (18).
Nash also played a key role in helping Saint Francis capture back-to-back NEC Tournament championships in 2024 and 2025, earning consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament. She was named the 2025 NEC Tournament MVP following the Red Flash's championship run.
Her postseason accolades included NFCA All-Region Second Team honors in 2025 after earning third-team recognition in 2024. Nash was a three-time All-NEC selection, earning first-team honors in 2024 and 2025 after being named to the second team and NEC All-Rookie Team in 2023.
Throughout her career with the Red Flash, Nash was selected as an NEC Prime Performer 12 times and earned NEC Player of the Week honors five times.
Nash finished her Saint Francis career with a .343 batting average, 160 hits, 27 doubles, three triples, 23 home runs and 101 RBI. She scored 92 runs while compiling a .562 slugging percentage and .393 on-base percentage and stealing 36 bases.
Following her three seasons at Saint Francis, Nash transferred to Liberty to continue her collegiate career.
A local product, Nash graduated from Atlee High School, where she was a two-time All-Region Second Team selection. During her senior season, she hit .393 with two home runs and 18 RBI while recording a .435 on-base percentage and .768 slugging percentage. Nash also earned All-Metro Honorable Mention recognition in 2022.
Nash now returns to the Ashland area to begin her collegiate coaching career with the Yellow Jackets.
