ASHLAND, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) have released their 2026 College Division All-State Softball Teams.

Sierra Kegley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) took home the state rookie of the year award and also added a first-team nod.

The Mechanicsville native ended the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in strikeouts (93), fourth in wins (14), fifth in runs allowed (36), sixth in earned-run average (1.80) and sixth in opponents' batting average (.215). Kegley also tossed eight shutouts this season, tying her for fourth-most in a single season in program history with Gracie Ellis (2024). She also threw a perfect game against Sweet Briar, which helped her earn ODAC Pitcher of the Week this season. She was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and to the first team this season. The freshman was also named to the All-Region third team.
