ASHLAND, Va. – Avery Tankersley finished with six points for the second straight game as Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse dominated Guilford on both sides of the ball for a 16-1 win in Ashland.

How it Happened
- Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) got the scoring started four minutes into the game. RMC built their lead with four straight man-up goals after a three-minute un-releasable penalty. Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) had two of those goals, while Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) and Matthew Sutty (Hockessin, Del./Salesianum) had the other two. JJ Phillips (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) poured in one more goal for RMC to take a 7-0 lead after one quarter of play.
- Sobel registered his hat trick goal to begin the second quarter. Two minutes later, Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) got on the board, followed by Tankersley's second goal of the game to push the RMC lead to 10-0. The Quakers got on the board with 5:44 left in the second, but the Yellow Jackets wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard again. Chap Hale (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) tallied his first goal of the season 41 seconds later and Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) finished the first half scoring with three seconds until half. The Yellow Jackets had a 12-1 edge heading into the second half.
- Just over eight and a half minutes went by before anyone scored in the third frame, as Tankersley completed his hat trick with 6:21 left in the frame. Sinsebox was the only other player to score in the third, as RMC took a 14-1 lead into the fourth. Jacob MacMillan (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and Ben Tomasic (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) each registered goals in the fourth quarter to help RMC to a 16-1 win.

- Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) went a perfect 13-13 on faceoffs and had five ground balls. He came into the game third in the nation in faceoff win percentage at 76.7%. In his last two games, he is 24-24 on faceoffs.
- Tankersley registered six points for the second straight game. He had three goals and three assists.
- Sinsebox finished with five points with three goals and two assists. He has nine goals in his last four games. He also totaled five ground balls.
- Sobel also picked up a hat trick with three goals and an assist. He also finished with four ground balls.
- Brodie Kent (Coquitlam, Canada/Centennial) led the team with seven ground balls as well as two caused turnovers.

- Jack Twomey (Reston, Va./Gonzaga) picked up his seventh win in goal with eight saves and one goal allowed.
- RMC went 21-22 on clears and held Guilford to just 15-27.
- RMC had 49 ground balls to Guilford's 22.
