Kody Rogan as the Yellow Jackets took a four-set win over the WildCats in ODAC play Wednesday night.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a big lead early in the first set, leading 5-0 and then pushing the advantage out to 8-1. RMC led 10-2 before the WildCats ignited a 6-0 run that brought them back within two. A later 5-0 run helped the Yellow Jackets take a 17-10 lead to give them some cushion. RMC led by nine at 21-12 before RC won seven of the next 10 points, but RMC closed out the set to take the opening frame, 25-19.
- The second set began as a back-and-forth affair, as the two sides split the first 12 points. RMC created separation with four straight points that gave them a 13-8 lead. The Yellow Jackets couldn't pull away any further and the WildCats couldn't bring the score any closer as the two sides traded points through the remainder of the set, leading to an RMC win, 25-20, in set two.
- After the third set was knotted 4-4, Randolph used a 4-0 run to take an 8-4 lead, but it was answered with four straight from the Yellow Jackets to tie the score at eight. The WildCats regained the lead and extended it out to 13-10. RMC took their first lead of the set at 15-13, but the WildCats fought back and stayed within striking distance, tying the score multiple times. RMC got to match point at 24-22, but five of the next six points went to Randolph as they took set three, 27-25 to avoid the sweep.
- Randolph began the fourth set up 3-0 and held a 7-3 lead before RMC got their footing with a 6-0 run to take a 9-7 lead. Randolph-Macon continued to put pressure on the WildCats, leading 14-9. Randolph used a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to one at 18-17, but RMC held off the comeback and took the final four points of the set to win 25-19 and win the match.
Inside the Numbers
- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) dished 32 assists to couple with his 13 kills. He had zero attack errors and hit .591. He also added a solo block, four block assists, and eight digs.
- Brady Plucker (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) totaled a career-high 21 digs.
- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) finished with 13 kills and 12 digs.
- Phillip Van Essendelft (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) tallied seven kills, a solo block, and three block assists.
- RMC had eight blocks to just three for Randolph.
- The Yellow Jackets held Randolph to a .082 hitting percentage.
