CHESTERTOWN, Md. - RMC Men's Lacrosse rallied to tie the game in the third quarter before Washington College pulled ahead in the fourth to take a 16-11 win in non-conference play.

How it Happened
- Washington College opened the game's scoring with a goal from Cory Morgan at 55 seconds into the contest. Cam Carrigan added a score for Washington College at the 11:03 mark. The Shoremen went up 4-0, with scores from Franklin Smithmyer and Nate Winters. Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) answered for Randolph-Macon with a faceoff win, ground ball, and a goal with 1:46 to play in the first.
- Morgan added another goal for Washington College within the first minute of the second quarter to put the Shoremen up 5-1. The Yellow Jackets rattled off three straight scores from Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch), Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin), and Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) to pull within one. Washington College responded with another score at the 12:31 mark. Peyton Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, Ca./Bishop Garcia Diego) found the back of the net with 10:09 to play before the half to bring the Jackets back within one. Ben Dickinson scored to put the Shoremen up 7-5. At the 5:16 mark, Allen assisted freshman Charlie Violette (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Academy) in netting his first goal as a Yellow Jacket. Washington College added another score to stay ahead, 8-6. Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) capitalized on a man-up opportunity with an assist from Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) to bring the Jackets within one heading into the half, 8-7.
- The Yellow Jackets were the first to strike in the third quarter with an equalizer from Payne. The Shoremen scored next to regain the lead and again with 5:44 to play in the period to take a 10-8 lead. Freshman JJ Phillips (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) put one away to bring the Jackets back to within one. Sinsebox took advantage of another man-up opportunity, with an assist from Tankersley, to tie the game at 10 heading into the final quarter.
- The Shoremen would add four straight goals to their tally to start the fourth period. With 6:19 to play, Sobel beat the defense in a man-up situation to make the score 14-11. Washington College netted two more in the final two minutes en route to a 16-11 victory over the Yellow Jackets.

- Tankersley recorded a team-high four points, recording three assists and a second-quarter goal.
- Sobel and Sinsebox paced the Yellow Jackets with two goals each.
- Payne contributed three points for Randolph-Macon. The senior also recorded three ground balls.
