ASHLAND, Va. - RMC Men's Lacrosse scores six in the second half as part of a comeback attempt in a one-point defeat to St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- St. Mary's kickstarted the contest scoring with a goal from Aiden Doyle at the 13:53 mark. Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) evened the game for Randolph-Macon, finding the back of the net with 4:34 to play in the first. Less than a minute later, St. Mary's Declan Horton netted a goal in response. With 1:05 left, a JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) goal knotted the game at two, for the last score of the first period.
- Doyle scored another goal at the 12:19 mark to put the Seahawks up, 3-2. St. Mary's lead would grow to two via a score from Blane Dail. The Seahawks would strike again before the Yellow Jackets capitalized on a man-up opportunity with a score from Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run). At the 2:13 mark, Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) netted a goal to bring the Jackets within one. St. Mary's scored twice more to secure a 7-4 lead headed into the break.
- Less than three minutes into the second half, Peyton Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, Ca./Bishop Garcia Diego) found the net for the Yellow Jackets. Doyle and Nick Machiran recorded scores for the Seahawks in the third to increase the deficit to four heading into the final quarter.
- St. Mary's struck first in the fourth at the 12:33 mark and again with 9:40 to play. Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) responded with a score to bring the Jackets back within 5. Matt Carter scored twice for RMC in the last 5:13, one assisted by Sinsebox and the other assisted by Sobel. JT Harvey netted his second goal of the day with 1:29 left. Sobel connected for the second time in the fourth quarter with 0:44 on the clock but the Seahawks were able to fend off the Yellow Jackets, 11-10.
