Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) registered three goals and three assists, while
Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) won a career-best 22 of 26 faceoffs, as Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse outscored Ursinus 7-1 in the third period on their way to a 17-9 road victory on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The Bears tallied a man-up goal less than two minutes into the contest to take the early lead. The Yellow Jackets won the ensuing faceoff and peppered the UC goalie with four shots, the final one connecting for a goal by Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) to level the score at 1-1 with 11:21 left in the quarter. Tankersley scored with 4:29 remaining on an assist by Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) as the visitors led 2-1 after one period.
- Tankersley added a goal early in the second to make it 3-1. The Bears recorded another man-up goal to pull within one at 3-2 three minutes in. Tankersley fed Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) on an RMC man-up goal to put the Yellow Jackets up 4-2 midway through the quarter. UC added a goal before Robertson and Hunter Drake (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) scored 25 seconds apart as RMC led 6-3 with five minutes remaining. The Bears pulled within two a minute later before Carter scored with 2:47 left as the Yellow Jackets took a 7-4 lead at intermission.
- Peyton Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, Calif./Bishop Carcia Diego) sandwiched two goals around a score by Payne as the lead grew to 10-4 four minutes into the third quarter. JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) added a goal to make it 11-4. Following a score by the home team, Payne, Soble and Tyler Dyson (Culpeper, Va./Liberty) all registered goals as RMC took a commanding 14-5 lead after three.
- Carter and Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) netted goals early in the fourth quarter to expand the advantage to 16-5. Tankersley answered a goal by the Bears as the Yellow Jackets led 17-6 with nine minutes remaining. UC notched the last three goals to make the final 17-9.
