ASHLAND, Va. – As a part of celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Randolph-Macon College Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is sponsoring RMC's Fourth Annual Sports Sampler, set to happen on Saturday, January 24.
Taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Brock Center, the event is a free opportunity for girls in grades 1-6 to try sports at Randolph-Macon College, without requiring any previous skill or experience.
The Sports Sampler will include stations to sample multiple sports led by college athletes and their coaches. There will be representatives from RMC's sports programs, such as softball, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball and more, who will be demonstrating and leading stations for their respective sports.
After the Sports Sampler, participants are invited to the dining hall for free pizza, as well as free admission to the women's basketball game vs. Roanoke College at 2:00 pm.
