12/22/2025 2:17:00 PM

FOREST, Va. – Randolph-Macon sophomore guard Erin Porter (Virginia Beach, Va./Kettle Run) has been named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, following her performances last week.

Porter helped guide her team to yet another 2-0 week, helping the Yellow Jackets secure wins against Principia and (RV) Catholic. Randolph-Macon first beat Principia, 62-44, in a neutral game before beating Catholic, 68-57, in a road contest the following day.

Against the Panthers, Porter registered 12 points, four rebounds, four blocks and two assists across her 26 minutes of play. The sophomore made four of her 11 field goal attempts, with all of her makes coming from distance, as she shot four-of-nine from three.

In RMC's matchup against the Cardinals, Porter poured in a career-high 28 points, while also adding three rebounds, two blocks, two steals and an assist. En route to her game-high point total, Porter laced a career-high six threes, while also shooting nine-of-16 from the field in total. Her six three pointers and nine total field goals made are both the highest by any Yellow Jacket in a single game this season.

Porter currently leads RMC in total points (129), three-pointers made (21) and scoring average (12.9). After knocking down 10 in the past week on 47.6 percent shooting (10-for-21), the guard now ranks third in the conference in threes made per game (2.1). Furthermore, after sinking all four of her free throw attempts this past week, she is now tied for sixth in the ODAC in free throw percentage (.800).

Women's hoops is back in action in 2026, as they head to Glenside, Pennsylvania, for a 3:00 p.m. contest against Arcadia on Friday, January 2.
