FOREST, Va. – Senior forward Liam Joyce has been named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week after strong performances, helping RMC to a 2-0 week.
 
Joyce had a strong showing on Wednesday in a 71-65 road win over No. 9-ranked Christopher Newport, posting seven rebounds, three blocks, and two steals. He followed it up with a three-rebound, three-block and one-steal performance to help the Yellow Jackets to a 92-57 home win against (RV) Yeshiva, lifting the Yellow Jackets to a 4-0 start this season.
 
The Yellow Jackets have had a lockdown defense as of late, holding three of the last four opponents to 65 points or less. They currently sit 38th in the nation in scoring defense, giving up just 63.0 points per game. RMC is also ranked 36th in the nation in scoring margin at 17.5 overall. 
 
RMC returns to action on December 3, against No. 17-ranked Hampden-Sydney at 7:00 p.m. in Crenshaw Gym.
