ASHLAND, Va. – Women's tennis recorded its first loss of the season today, losing to Pfeiffer, 4-0. In the afternoon, the Yellow Jackets bounced back, shutting the Spirits out 7-0.

Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) were able to secure a 7-5 victory at second doubles, but the Yellow Jackets were unable to capture the doubles point.

Singles vs. Pfeiffer
The Falcons took control of the match, defeating Randolph-Macon in third, fifth and sixth singles. Despite the loss, RMC was able to capture two-or-more games in 12 of its 13 sets played. Additionally, even though the match was unfinished, Mowry was able to extend her match to a third set.

Doubles vs. Salem
Randolph-Macon captured victories in all three doubles matches, winning with scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 7-5. Additionally, the matches finished in order, with first doubles earning the decisive 6-1 win, with second and third doubles following suit.
