How It Happened
- Salisbury grabbed the lead in the top half of the second inning, as Carrie Jacoby knocked in Natalie Paoli with a sacrifice flyout.Â
- Lauren Meyers led off the fourth inning with a double for the Sea Gulls and in the next at-bat Jacoby tripled in pinch runner Camille Jones. Salisbury one more run in the inning to extend their lead to 3-0. Â
- Davis continued her success at the plate with her second long-ball of the tournament in the fourth inning, pulling the Yellow Jackets within two runs, trailing 3-1.Â
- The Sea Gulls loaded-up the bases in the fifth inning and Paoli crossed home on a Randolph-Macon wild-pitch for a 4-1 lead.
- Randolph-Macon managed to get Davis and Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) on base in the sixth inning with no outs and the tying run to the plate. The Sea Gulls worked out of danger to keep their 4-1 advantage.Â
- Emily Stockman hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning for Salisbury, as the Yellow Jackets would fall into the losers bracket with a 7-1 defeat. Â

- Davis accounted for the only Yellow Jacket run in the game with her homer in the fourth inning.Â
- Naomi Sadler (Emporia, Va./Brunswick) hit the only other extra-base hit for Randolph-Macon with her double in the fifth inning.Â
- Jordan Brown (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) ended the game with a single and a walk for the Lemon and Black.Â
- Reagan Hill (Hanover, Va./Hanover), Amanda Lanyon (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) and Owens all recorded a hit in the game.
- Rilee Baughan got the start in the circle and finished with three earned runs given up on nine hits and four walks in 6.2 innings. The fifth-year student also fanned four Sea Gulls in the game. Maddy Bates (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) got the final out in the seventh inning for the Yellow Jackets in relief.
